JOHN ERIC BAND
ABOUT THE ARTIST
John was born in Phoenix, Arizona but lived his early life abroad being a military brat (father is retired Army aviator). He attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ on a golf scholarship. He then spent a few years attending college in Seguin, Texas on another golf scholarship at Texas Lutheran University. John's passion to play music was sidelined in April of 2006 due to sudden and unforseen health scares. With those issues behind , his commitment and drive is stronger than ever. In 2009 it was time for a fresh look and a current sound. John formed the JOHN ERIC BAND. John's influences include George Strait, Tracy Byrd, Clay Walker, Merle Haggard, and Mark Chesnutt to name a few. John was influenced by the music of Texas and you can hear that influence in his music and style. Through the years of performing in honky-tonks, casinos and night clubs, John was constantly complemented on how close he looked and sounded to George Strait. Between the John Eric Band, The Troubadour Experience and acoustic shows, John averages a busy schedule of around 180-200 shows per year. John brings his acoustic talent to the Saddle Bronc Grill on a few select dates per year. |
